A weekend in Paris, the slow way
Forget the checklist of monuments: Paris is best enjoyed on foot, from one neighbourhood to the next, with time for a coffee on a terrace.
Paris rewards those who take their time. Leave the checklist of monuments at the hotel and walk from one neighbourhood to the next.
Saturday: the Left Bank
Start with breakfast near Saint-Séverin, cross to the Île de la Cité before the crowds, then lose yourself among the bookshops of the Latin Quarter. In the afternoon, the Luxembourg Gardens are the place for a slow walk.
Sunday: markets and the Seine
Sunday morning belongs to the markets: fruit, cheese and flowers in every neighbourhood. After lunch, follow the quays of the Seine on foot until sunset.
Our tip: stay in the centre. Everything is then within walking distance, and the city is yours in the evening.
